Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Preach Better ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Preach Better is an AI-powered sermon coaching platform. You upload audio recordings or provide video URLs of your sermons, and our service transcribes, analyzes, and scores your message across four pillars: Clarity, Connection, Conviction, and Call. The Service provides AI-generated coaching feedback, highlighted moments, recommendations, and practice plans designed to help you grow as a communicator.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as needed. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Plans

Preach Better offers subscription plans including the Cornerstone plan and Starter plan, each with different message upload limits and features. Plan details and pricing are available on our Pricing page.

Free Trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial that includes 2 free message analyses. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and you will be charged according to the plan you selected.

Billing

All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan selection). You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service through the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Cornerstone Membership

The Cornerstone plan is a limited founding-member tier with a cap of 50 members. Cornerstone members receive locked-in pricing for life as long as they maintain an active subscription. If a Cornerstone membership is canceled, the locked-in pricing benefit is forfeited and the spot may be offered to another member.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: to analyze and receive coaching feedback on your own preaching and communication. You may not:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use or share
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Use the Service to analyze content from other speakers without their consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the AI analysis or scoring methodology
• Abuse, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users on a single account
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all sermon audio, transcripts, and related content you upload to Preach Better. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, transcribe, analyze, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not sell, share publicly, or use your sermon content for purposes unrelated to providing your coaching feedback, except as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-Generated Feedback

The coaching feedback, scores, highlighted moments, and recommendations provided by Preach Better are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as a coaching tool to assist your growth. This feedback is not a substitute for professional mentoring, theological review, or pastoral accountability. AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. You acknowledge that you use AI-generated feedback at your own discretion.

8. Upload Limits

Each subscription plan includes a monthly message upload limit. Upload counts reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused uploads do not roll over to the next month. We reserve the right to adjust plan limits with reasonable notice.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Processing times for sermon analysis may vary based on audio length and system demand. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that may temporarily affect availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Preach Better and its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
